Nickname Registration

To register your nickname on this chat site, after entering the chat room you will type in the window:
/nickserv REGISTER (yourpassword) (youremailaddress)

Example: /nickserv register ladyluck sky@email.com

It will tell you either that the nickname is reserved or that you have successfully registered.

After registering your nickname, every time you enter the room you will need to 'identify' yourself by typing in the window, /nickserv IDENTIFY (yourpassword)

Example: /nickserv identify ladyluck

NickServ allows you to "register" a nickname and prevent others from using it. The following commands allow for registration and maintenance of nicknames; to use them, type /msg NickServ command. For more information on a specific command, type /msg NickServ HELP command.

REGISTER Register a nickname

SET Set options, including kill protection
DROP Cancel the registration of a nickname

NOTICE:

This service is intended to provide a way for IRC users to ensure their identity is not compromised. It is NOT intended to facilitate "stealing" of nicknames or other malicious actions. Abuse of NickServ will result in, at minimum, loss of the abused nickname(s). Nicknames that are not used anymore are subject to the automatic expiration, i.e. they will be deleted after 30 days if not used.
